What Is the Difference Between a Customized Steel Track Chassis and a Customized Rubber Track Chassis?

The main difference is the track material and the resulting machine behaviour. A customized steel track chassis uses forged steel track chains with steel shoes, which carries higher load capacity, tolerates sharp rock and abrasive ground, and lasts longer in mining or quarry duty. A customized rubber track chassis uses steel track chains with rubber track pads, which spreads weight over a wider area, delivers lower ground pressure, reduces vibration and noise, and protects soft ground. Neither is universally better: choose steel for load and terrain, choose rubber for ground protection and operator comfort.
